Black Moon Red Tent

This is an invitation to women of all generations to gather in circle, share, connect and learn from one another.

This space is one to remember and relax. It is an opportunity for our elders to pass down their wisdom and for the youth to inspire.

The Black Moon Red Tent is a sacred and nurturing space for all women to feel welcome and cared for. If you wish to be a part of the circle and would like to bring your child(ren) along, there is a place for you all here. There is patience for children as they are as well as an etiquette we hope to share with the children about how to be a part of ceremony and circle. It is through our actions and behaviors, that the children are able to learn how to thrive in sacred spaces.

An elder once said to me, “If we can’t pray with the children present, what is the point of praying at all?”

The simple act of generations coming together is one of life’s greatest offerings and teachings.

You do not have to be bleeding to attend this circle. We will honor the power of the moon cycle as well as every stage of life as a women.

There will be hot tea and light snacks provided. Feel free to bring a snack to share if it feels easeful.

We will gather in The Circle Tent at The Nest NEK in West Glover.

Registration is required as space is limited to only 11 ladies.

Dress comfortably. Bring water and something comfortable to sit on. If you feel called, you can bring an offering for the alter, the land or to share with the women in the circle.

Donations are appreciated to support facilitation, the space and offerings but are not required.

In gratitude,

Saturn

Build-It Playdate Potluck

Build-It Playdate Potluck

The monthly Playdate Potluck is BACK and we are kicking it off with a spring “Build-It” Day! This playdate potluck will be a little more loosely structured than our typical afternoon of play and a little bit longer. Feel free to come for an hour or the whole day.

We will be planting flowers, burning brush, putting up tents, building and much more to get The Nest NEK up and going for the season. We thought, why not make it a community event?! Kai, our 3 year old, has more fun doing most of the things it takes to get everything ready than we do so we thought your littles might too! Think of it as a fun day of play outside with opportunities to dig some holes or put some wood on the fire! Wear your boots and bring some gloves! There will be big ways to help and child friendly ways to pitch in.

Come anytime between 1-5pm and feel free to bring a snack for the snack table if it’s easy. We’ll be providing some pizza, veggie & fruit snacks and light refreshments and plan to play instruments around the fire into the evening.

What to bring:

-dress comfortably for working/playing in the woods

-bring a pair of gloves if you’re up for moving some wood or digging in the dirt!

-any tools or equipment that might be helpful

-a refillable water bottle

-a snack to share

CALLING ALL COMMUNITY MEMBERS

This gathering isn’t just for families. Come as you are! All are welcome. Come alone, with children or bring your partner along for a day of fun. The more, the merrier!
